Designed with the milsurp Soviet and NATO rifles in mind, the KA-1230 is a very effective muzzlebrake and flash suppressor in a small lightweight package. Capable of taming the recoil of the powerful 7.62x54R and .308 cartridges or the intermediate 7.62x39 round, the KA-1230 does this very efficiently while cutting/ eliminating flash. The KA-1230 is rated for use on all 30 caliber rifles up to the 30.06 Springfield. These threaded versions are available in ½"x28 (uses an A2 crush washer) or M14x1.0LH (notched for FSB detents) pitches. The flash suppression design of the KA-1230 is tuned for the 7.62x39 cartridge, for more effective flash suppression on larger calibers such as the .308, use the KA-0830 unit which is tuned for the .308/30.06 cartridge.
