News and Updates:

Hilarity ensues: E-Tac/Go-Gun out of Hawaii apparently do not have an engineer on the payroll since they opted to simply
make inferior knock-offs of proven KA products instead of developing their own products. They made a few cosmetic changes
to avoid getting sued for infringement, but the changes that they made actually made their product less effective. On the left
is a pic of the KA-1212BR, in use by LE across the country and in Iraq/Afghanistan. On the right is a pic of the KA-SG01A, the
best-selling and functioning tappet made for the Saiga-12 shotgun.
Now here is a pic of the E-Tac breacher and tappet
Notice the same shorter secondary ports on the E-Tac copy of the KA-1212BR, also their idea of a "no snag" tooth design
which will also not "snag" on a doorjamb like it is supposed to. It also has the same hemispherical back cut that is used on
the KA-1212BR but to an incorrect dimension thereby reducing its effectiveness as a brake and flash hider. It is also machined
from a different alloy which results in inferior durability compared to the KA-1212BR. On the tappet you will notice the same
recessed crown as the KA product (a unique feature in the market), but with some "snazzy" grooves cut in the side which
simply let crud build up on the outside of the piston, causing failures. It also creates too much initial cylinder volume which
reduces reliability. They also opted to machine them from pre-hardened stainless.......just like KA. Simple things that they
would have figured out had they not just copied an existing part. Their knock-off of our AK brake is also heavier and almost
twice as expensive. So they give you the opportunity to buy an inferior product at an inflated price.....brilliant!

Feel free to contact them at 808-678-3822 and let them know that you'd rather by the KA original part than buy some
inferior knock-off.

4/15/10: We are in the process of making some changes here at KA and will be shifting our focus back towards getting new
parts developed and out on the market.

4/17/10: We are still trying to finish up all the service jobs that are in process right now and once they are done we will not be
doing any more service work until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it is causing a ton of logistics problems
and is not profitable at the current work levels.

4/20/10: Almost done with the service work, seems like Murphy's Law is alive and well. No sooner did we replace the
airbrushes that were giving us some trouble, the air compressor blew up. Got a new oilless compressor on the way so we
should be back up and running by the weekend.

4/20/10: KA is now on Facebook!!! Discuss products, ask general smithing/technical questions, post pics, whatever you want
to do there. We are hoping that our FB page will help with technical support issues and customer support.

4/22/10: The updated KA homepage is almost done, we are going with a lighter stone background instead of the usual
jet-black to improve readability. Our online store is still under construction so you will have to call/email your orders in the
mean time or contact a KA dealer.

4/29/10: The updated KA homepage is up and running. We will be adding more features and debugging glitches over the
upcoming week or so, be patient!
